Why Mirrorless?
Why get a mirrorless camera over an DSLR? Three Reasons.

Let me give you three reason to get a mirrorless camera over an older DSLR.
You see what the sensor sees. With a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) there is a mirror between the lens and the sensor. That mirror redirects the light to your viewfinder. You don't see an accurate representation that is the way the sensor will produce the image. It's more of a trial and error approach with DSLR. Shoot-review-adjust.
Mirrorless cameras are more compact. Sure, they aren't going to fit into your skinny jeans like a cell phone, but it's a DSLR on a diet.
Mirrorless cameras have less distance between the lens and the sensor. Why does that matter? Because it allows an adapter to be put in between a DSLR lens and your new fangled mirrorless camera. This adapter opens up a whole new world of less expensive older lenses that can be put on your camera (even from other manufacturers). Many of those lenses are better than the new ones!
OK, just wanted to put that out there for those of you who are interested in buying a camera. I haven't seen anyone discuss these topics in a concise way. - Jack
